Konkani style dali toye, easy to prepare and tasty, go well with hot rice.
Rinse 2-3 times, 1 cup of toor dal in water.
In a pressure cooker, add the rinsed dal along with 3-4 cups of water, salt and 3 green chilies.
Cook until 15-18 whistles in a pressure cooker. Let the dal be completely cooked (like a paste).
Smash the dal properly. Add hing and salt if required.
In a pan, heat 1tsp of oil, add mustard seeds & red chillies. Once the mustard seeds start spurting, add the curry leaves.
Keep cooking dal on medium flame, add water if required as it should not be too thick.
Then add the seasoning mixture to dal and mix well.
Let the dal be cooking in medium flame for 10 mins, add coriander leaves and turn off the flame.
Konkani style dali toye is ready.
Enjoy the toye with hot rice!
