A south Indian unique halasina hannu mulka, also popularly known as kujje mulka by using bombay rava (medium rava). The dish is very popular in the coastal area of Karnataka. The fried mulka is a good snack for all time. The sweet snack is also called kujje appam.


Cut open the jackfruit and deseed the jackfruit pods.

Chop the jackfruit into small pieces.

Grate 2 cups of coconut and keep it ready.

Add 2 cups of chopped jackfruit, 2 cups of grated coconut, and 1.25 cups of jaggery in a mixer.

Grind to a fine paste, do not add water.

Dry fry the rava for 10 mins in a pan.
Add the rava with grinded mixture. Add a pinch of salt and black till/sesame seeds.

Heat the oil in pan

In a vessel, press your fingers to the batter and pull upwards as shown.

Drop them in the hot oil as shown.

Let the mulka fry on medium flame till it turns brown.
