Methi leaves dosa, unique methi dosa, easy to prepare, a classic breakfast. Udupi style

Soak 2 cups dosa rice along with 2 tbsp of urad dal, 2 tbsp of channa dal, and 1/2 tsp methi seeds overnight [you can rinse the rice and then keep it for soaking].

Drain the water from the soaked rice the next day, if required rinse the soaked rice again. Then add 5 tbsp Dhaniya seeds, 1 tbsp Jeera, 3 tbsp jaggery, tamarind, 1 tbsp turmeric powder, 14 red chillies (add more if you like spicy), and salt to taste.

Add 2 cups of grated coconut.

Grind the above mixture to a fine batter using water. Check the consistency of the batter, it shouldn't be too thin nor too thick. (like a normal dosa batter)

Chop the methi leaves as shown in the image, preferred to use only the leaves and not the stem.

Mix the methi leaves with the batter.

In a dosa tawa, grease it with oil and spread the dosa in a circular manner.

Enjoy healthy methi leaves dosa with butter.
