Today we will prepare healthy and delicious pesarattu dosa, this is very easy to prepare. The moong bean is very good for health. A very good breakfast for your energy-filled mornings. The moong bean also called hesaru kalu, is good for digestion. The dosa is best served with coconut chutney.
Below is the step-by-step method.


In a vessel, add 1 cup of moong bean + 1 cup of dosa rice and 1 tsp methi seeds.

Soak them in water for 6 hrs.

Rinse twice the soaked rice and moong bean, drain the water completely.

Add them to a mixer. Add 1 cup of water while grinding.
Note - for about 1 cup of moong bean and 1 cup of rice, we will need about 1 cup of water, if you find that the batter is too thick, add a little more water.

Let the consistency of the batter be like regular dosa batter. Add salt to the batter.

In a dosa pan, grease it with oil, spread the batter.

Pesarattu is ready to serve with coconut chutney.
